We have an archive of the video footage and presentations given at the Open Day last Friday, for those who couldn't be there. The climateprediction.net team would like to thank everyone who participated in the day, it was a great success and very good to be able to meet some of the participants.
Archive of Open Day
Today is our first climateprediction.net Open Day. We're meeting in Oxford University Computing Laboratory to discuss various aspects of the project. The Open Day will feature talks from most of the project's researchers, and all of its students. We're broadcasting the Open Day on the web at the following ip address : 163.1.128.48 port 8080 Windows users can use Windows Media Player to view the webcast. Everyone else (Linux and Mac OS X and others) can use VideoLanClient (VLC) available from: http://www.videolan.org We'll be using the MMS protocol to broadcast. In Windows Media Players select Open URL from the file menu and type in mms://163.1.128.48. You may need to supply the port number - if no picture appears within 30 seconds then Open URL with mms://163.1.128.48:8080 In VLC select Open Network from the File menu. Click HTTP/FTP/MMS but enter mms://163.1.128.48 in the text box at the top. Again, if no picture appears then supply the port: type mms://163.1.128.48:8080 into the box.
