If you are getting an error in your BOINC client log:



you must update/replace the ca-bundle.crt from the BOINC client. It looks like the file is outdated. Stop BOINC, replace the file and restart.

I put the file in the download folder for download.

A new boinc project called trailertcrack has been deployed, it aims at cracking the seed for the Thumbnail 2 of the Trailer video of Minecraft (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmB9b5njVbA), this is currently the last one missing so we can fully reproduce the original trailer within Minecraft in higher quality right in time for the 10th anniversary of this iconic piece of Minecraft history. (we do already have most of the seeds and this is an active project).

This app is GPU only and will be in beta until 03/10 where it will be rolled out to the public, as with all our gpu applications, credits are balanced out and should be equivalent to cpu runtime of our other projects. We currently only support Windows and Linux 64 bits for NVIDIA GPUs (we use cuda).

On 6 September 2021, 07:16:28 UTC, PrimeGrid's 321 Search found the Mega Prime: 3*2^17748034-1 The prime is 5,342,692 digits long and enters Chris Caldwell's "The Largest Known Primes Database" ranked 18th overall. The discovery was made by Marc Wiseler (McDaWisel) of Ireland using an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor with 16GB RAM, running Microsoft Windows 10 Professional x64 Edition. This computer took about 2 hours, 45 minutes to complete the primality test using LLR2. Marc Wiseler is a member of the Storm team. The prime was verified on 6 September 2021, 11:47 UTC, by an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9800X CPU @ 3.80GHz with 32GB of RAM, running CentOS. This computer took 2 hours and 41 minutes to complete the primality test using LLR2. For more details, please see the official announcement.
